WIL ANDERSON AND STEPHANIE McINTOSH TAKE OVER AS HOTTEST ON TV
The mantle held by Rove McManus and Sandra Sully as Australia’s Male
and Female Hottest on TV since the concept began in September is no
longer. The host of the ABC’s The Glasshouse, Wil Anderson, and Neighbours
star Stephanie McIntosh have confirmed their places as the current male
and female considered TV’s Hottest by the Australian public. Both
Anderson and McIntosh were comfortable leaders from very early in the month
and represent the changing face of popularity on our TV screens.
Stephanie McIntosh has had a steady rise, voted 18th in September, 8th
in October, to now find herself on top. Wil Anderson rose from 16th in
September, 2nd in October to finally overthrow Rove McManus who slid to
third finishing behind Channel V, Australian Idol host and Cleo
Bachelor of the Year, Andrew G. Home and Away heart-throb Chris Hemsworth
continued his gradual rise to finish 4th in November (up from 5th) with
Sunrise weather reporter Grant Denyer rounding out the Top 5 guys (up
from 8th).
It was another near miss for Rove Live reporter and The Glasshouse
panellist Corinne Grant who was runner up for the second month in
succession. Home and Away’s Isabel Lucas remained steady in third while All
Saints star Alexandra Davies rose sharply from 9th in October to 4th in
November. Reigning Hottest on TV Queen Sandra Sully slid all the way to
5th.
Among the big movers was Australia’s Funniest Home Videos host Toni
Pearen who jumped to 8th (from 32nd in Oct). ABC news reporter Karen Tso
was another big mover. Tso rose to 12th (from 40th), posting a lot of
votes following the news during the month that she was defecting to
Channel 9 in 2005. Some big casualties among the females, Sunrise pair
Melissa Doyle and Natalie Barr dropped from 4th and 6th in October to
18th and 20th respectively however Chloe Maxwell took the major slide from
15th to 63rd.
Great Outdoors presenter Tom Williams rose from 22nd in October to fill
the 10th place for the guys. Video Hits host Axle Whitehead enjoyed a
successful month rising from 80th to 11th while Home and Away’s Mark
Furze jumped from 50th to 16th. Bert Newton’s time inside the top 50
(26th in Oct) came to an end as he dropped to 75th while Ten Sport
Presenter Bill Woods meteoric rise in October was matched by his fall in
November dropping from 29th to 122nd.
