And the US use them also as a reserve I think.
I have seen older Huey's and Iroquois beeing used in Iraq two days ago.
I agree with them ...why use new planes for such a primitive war when you stll have plenty of old ones.
In Europe they sell the old ones for cheap prices to third world countries. And then they start a too expensive new programme which cannot be realized...and they end up having (almost)no planes for a new conflict.
